"Marine Innovation" is a combination of Marine and Innovation.
As the name suggests, the seaweed, marine resource, is used to solve environmental problems.
It has the meaning of bringing innovation.
By-product : Turning waste into a resource
- Seaweed, the material of our sustainable future circular found in sea.
- Seaweed-based cellulose as a raw material for paper-making as an alternative to wood-based cellulose
- Fruits like coconuts, oranges etc. generate a significant amount of byproducts
- Palm sludge as palm oil extracted from the palm
- Tapioca is a starch of casava, which has a similar appearance to sweet potatoes. Tapioca found the answer to solve problems such as exposure to environmental hormones and dioxin caused by incineration or landfilling of waste vinyl and air pollution caused by incomplete combustion of waste.
- Utilization of brewer's grains
- Chap is a Byproduct that occurs after milling with the outer shell of rice. Chaff compost quickly with materials or microorganisms that do not corrode easily. Also, brewer's grains left after making beer are good materials.
- Coffee byproducts are the waste after coffee ground. 99.8% of coffee beans are discarded and an estimated 100-thousand tons of waste is annually generated. They produce carbon dioxide when landfilled or incinerated because they are handled as industrial waste.
- Coconut byproduct after the oil extraction from dried coconut kernels.
